Like many people, Jane first started practising yoga to find some relief from a physical ailment. From that moment 20 years ago she became curious to know why she felt better not just physically but mentally, too.

Her interest in the connection between mind and body took her deeper into yoga. Her first teacher training was in yoga and mindfulness with Hugh Poulton of Sukhita Yoga in 2016; she has been teaching ever since. Now Jane has her own studio in Oxfordshire, a place of tranquillity where she warmly welcomes students.

In 2019 a second teacher training course with Sky of Sama Yoga took Jane to Sweden and Bali, where she had a chance to experience the deeper, spiritual aspect of yoga as a means to self knowledge. Sky’s blend of traditional hatha yoga, Qi Gong inspired movement and mantra has influenced Jane’s teaching and awakened her interest in ancient languages. She now studies Sanskrit and loves the connection it gives to the ancient roots of yoga. Expect to hear some chanting at the end of class!

Jane continues to attend workshops and retreats with a range of teachers to expand her knowledge of the rich variety within yoga. Among these are Danny Paradise, Liz Lark, Scott Johnson and Sandra O’Shea from the Mandala Yoga Ashram.

Jane’s classes invite the student to pay close attention to the body, mind and emotions through a sometimes deep, sometimes playful flow of postures. It is suitable for all ages and abilities. She is passionate to share how yoga can support overall health, encourage self reliance, reduce stress and generally improve quality of life.
